Speaker: Paul Borgermans

09 Dec 2009

Any web application that grows beyond a few pages will likely add a way to search through the content on the site. Doing an efficient search with lots of different aspects taken into account requires more than a simple LIKE clause in your database query. Search is therefore an important thing that should not be taken lightly. PHPBenelux crew member Paul Borgermans will do a presentation on using the Apache SOLR project to take care of your search needs, explaining about what SOLR is and what it can do for you, and how to use SOLR in combination with your PHP application.

We were able to discuss with Paul about his talk and SOLR. You can listen to the interview using the below widget, or by downloading the interview (hosted by archive.org).

Paul will be presenting SOLR at 11:30 in the second track, as you can see in the schedule.
