Tutorial preparations

This is an important announcement for all the tutorial attendees, exluding the Windows Azure tutorial.

All attendees should have received an email stating which preparations one should make, to make the tutorial as effective as possible. Unfortunately we hear rumors that the mails are arriving in the spambox. We currently don’t have an idea why, but please check yours as well to do your preparations.

We are sold out, and we have an app!

phpbnl13_soldoutIt’s official now, PHPBenelux Conference 2013 is SOLD OUT! We are very happy that everyone is showing so much interest. If you weren’t able to get your tickets for this edition we hope to see you for our 2014 edition.

Early bird closing in a few days

This news post is a small reminder that the early bird sales will end on December 6th, be sure to get your early bird tickets in time!

In case you’re still wondering what this early bird thing is all about you can check out this page. After the 6th of December we will continue to sell tickets, these will then be at a regular price. If you want a discounted ticket be sure to convince your manager, boss or wife so they’ll have some extra pocket money left for christmas shopping.

First regular sessions announced

Maybe you’ve already seen some people on your Twitter-stream who had a cheerful PHPBenelux 2013 tweet the past couple of days. And it is official now, we have announced our first speakers and their sessions.

It was again an incredible hard task to choose between the many superb proposals. We’d like to thank everyone who sent in a proposal, it was a joy going through them and a pain to reject the ones that didn’t made it to the schedule. We are joyed though to present an awesome programme with a lot to learn for everybody.

The tickets for the conference are available at early bird (click to see what it means) prices until December 6, after that the tickets will be available at regular price. You can choose between 7 tutorials and 28 talks depending on the type of ticket you buy.

Announcing our tutorial speakers

Today we are proud to present you the first speakers for PHPBenelux Conference 2013. We start by announcing our tutorial speakers and in the coming weeks we will start publishing our speakers.

The people in the community once again gave us the very hard task to select the tutorials from many quality submissions, and this is what we came up with:

If you have submitted a talk and haven’t received a mail yet it means we might still contact you to do a talk at our conference.

Tickets can be ordered NOW from, for this year we and our awesome sponsors managed to keep the ticket prices the same low price as last year!

The call for proposals is closed

It’s the first of October, and we just closed our call for proposals. We received well over 200 submissions for which we like to thank each and everyone of you. The CFP-committee will start going through all the submissions we’ve seen passing by in the next couple of weeks. And they will have the tough task of selecting the best talks for the conference, the quality of the papers is again extremely high.

Everyone who has submitted can start crossing their fingers now, and we’ll see who will be taking the stage at PHPBenelux 2013 in the next few weeks.

Call for proposals now open!

Hey you! You’ve been working with PHP for a while and you’ve gained a whole bunch of knowledge. Why not share it with other developers? Well, now you can! We now have opened up our Call for Proposals (CfP) for you to start submitting your talks.

What can you talk about? Well, that’s up to you! You propose a talk and we’ll decide if it gets accepted. It’s that simple! But to give you some ideas, we have listed a few categories for you to see if you can match your talk in there. But, this list is merely to be considered as a guide and you can propose your own category.

 • + Cloud
 • + NoSQL
 • + Analytics
 • + Frameworks
 • + Best practises
 • + General and in depth programming skills

We accept proposals up to October 1, 2012 12pm CET and we have no limit on how many talks you submit. So, don’t wait until the latest moment and start submitting your talks.

What’s in it for the speakers?

 • + two or three hotel nights
 • + full access to the conference
 • + an invitation to the speakers dinner
 • + up to 300 euro of reimbursement for travel expenses
