Conference 2018

You’ve never spoken at a conference before but kinda want to?

on

As we’ve previously announced, the CFP for PHPBenelux Conference 2018 is now open.

If you’ve not given a talk before but you like the idea of speaking at our conference but have some reservations, read on!

Conference goal

Our annual PHPBenelux conference is a non-profit event organised for PHP developers and companies, by PHP developers. Our aim is to help strengthen and enrich the already awesome PHP community. We love to see people come together to learn, discuss, network and have an unforgettable time.

If you attended any PHP conference or meetup, then you were part of this community and we want you to be part of it again .. but maybe this time you could also be a speaker at our conference.

What we look for

It doesn’t matter whether you are a first-time or an experienced speaker. The conference attendees are of all different levels and therefor we’d love to see talks submitted for beginners to advanced levels. These topics can be technical or nontechnical as long as it is relevant to PHP developers.

We encourage people of all levels and skills to send in proposals.

Have you got any tips, tricks, insights or are you passionate about something, anything that could help improve the lives of PHP developers?

Do you know a thing or two about best practices, or do you have a story about how you turned things or processes around for the better?

Have you got something interesting to share about new or upcoming technologies, advanced or alternative usages of existing technologies?

Don’t hesitate and submit us your ideas for PHPBenelux Conference 2018!

What’s the worst thing that can happen?

Some tips

Preparation is key. If you have little or no experience presenting a topic, we strongly encourage you to find a PHP user group near you to present your topic, in front of an audience smaller than that at a fully fledged PHP conference. You will also be able to improve your talk by asking for feedback right after. Also ask to provide feedback regarding your English pronunciation. It is important that your audience understands you with ease. Example sites where you can find PHP user groups are php.ug and Meetup.

Mr. Cal Evans wrote the article Tips on how to get accepted as a speaker at a PHP conference – it contains valuable information to increase your chances to get selected to speak at PHPBenelux Conference 2018.

Also read the info on our CFP website for more details on what we offer you.
